Minimal Access Surgery (MAS) is a modern surgical technique in which surgeries are performed via small incisions. These incisions are usually only around 0.5-1.5 cm in size and are made through a laparoscope. In comparison to the larger incisions required for traditional open surgeries, these smaller incisions provide numerous benefits towards the recovery of the patient. Minimal access and laparoscopic surgery has many advantages, including lesser blood loss during the surgery

Using this technique patients who undergo surgery vastly benefit due to the fast recovery that is possible as incisions are smaller. Other advantages include lesser complications after surgery, enhanced clinical results and improved cosmesis. As a patient, you will experience a comparatively shorter hospital stay and can return to routine life and work sooner.
